SPRING, Texas -- Quarterback Chris Johnson (Bryan, Texas/Bryan) didn't feel well when he woke up Friday morning. His doctor told him he might have strep throat. Take the weekend off, he told Johnson, and get some rest.
But the ESPN 150 signal-caller still showed up to the Houston Under Armour Sevens tournament Saturday. If Johnson was sick, he sure didn't play like it.
"It was just a viral infection," he said. "I felt a lot better this morning so I came out. I like being out here with my teammates and wanted to see what kind of athleticism we have."
