Kohl's Underclassmen Challenge recap

The third-annual Kohl's Underclassmen Challenge brought out the best 2013 and 2014 prospects in the nation. Every region in America was represented and we got the opportunity to see the best specialists.

The star of the camp was Daniel Carlson from Colorado Springs, Colo., a 6-foot-5 athlete who hit a couple of kickoffs in the 4.3- to 4.4-second range. He also went 10-of-10 on FG off the ground and showed the potential to take the title of the most-sought-after specialist in the 2013 class. He does need some refinement on his ball striking but his talent is undeniable. He will draw offers from everyone in America, if he can hit the ball a little cleaner.

The punting talent at camp was also very impressive. The top overall punter was Jimmy Hutchinson from Marietta, Ga., who consistently hit BCS-level punts at camp. Sean Covington, a lefty from Treasure Island, Fla., also hit multiple punts that had five seconds of hang times and traveled over 50 yards. These two punters should get multiple Division I offers before the summer is over.
