Stanford Cardinal
Top prospect: Outside linebacker Noor Davis (The Villages, Fla./The Villages Charter) is a system-fitting 3-4 linebacker who could produce in a similar fashion as current Cardinal Chase Thomas. Davis, No. 25 overall and the No. 2 OLB in the country, has the physicality and athleticism to make an early impact in Palo Alto. Breakdown: Stanford is still recruiting strong without Jim Harbaugh. This class was built up front with massive guard Joshua Garnett (Puyallup, Wash./Puyallup), five-star offensive tackle Andrus Peat (Tempe, Ariz./Corona Del Sol) and fellow top-five offensive tackle Kyle Murphy (San Clemente, Calif./San Clemente). Coach David Shaw inked six ESPNU 150 prospects, including running back Barry Sanders (Oklahoma City, Okla./Heritage Hall). Sanders, the son of the former NFL superstar running back, has big-play ability and is one of the more elusive runners in this class. Athlete Alex Carter (Ashburn, Wash./Briar Woods) could develop into a difference-maker at safety, which is essential looking at the skill and depth there. Four-star defensive tackle Jordan Watkins (College Park, Ga./Woodward Academy) is a good-sized prospect (6-5, 259 pounds) who can be a disruptive presence. To continue reading this article you must be an Insider
