Rutgers remains on top of Big East

Here's a team-by-team look at the 2012 Big East Conference recruiting classes.



Rutgers Scarlet Knights
Top prospect: DE Darius Hamilton (Ramsey, N.J./Don Bosco), the son of former New York Giants defensive lineman Keith Hamilton, is a disruptive, physical presence in the trenches who holds his ground. Breakdown: Greg Schiano's NFL hiring created instant shock waves through Rutgers' recruiting class less than a week before signing day. However, not only were the Scarlet Knights able to retain most of their class, they added Hamilton the night before signing day. Four of Rutgers' six four-star recruits are from New Jersey, including Hamilton, athlete Steve Longa from Saddle Brook High, top-10 linebacker Quanzell Lambert from Sicklerville-Timber Creek, and dynamic athlete Davon Jacobs from Wayne-DePaul Catholic. Four-star OTs Chris Muller (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown) and J.J. Denman(Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury), along with No. 3-ranked center Brandon Arcidiacono (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood), will help bolster the offensive line.To continue reading this article you must be an Insider
