Easy call for top conference
While SEC holds top spot, don't overlook the strength of other conferences
With 10 teams in the top 30 class rankings, including five in the top 10 and three in the top five, it's hard to argue that the SEC is the dominant conference on the recruiting trail. But the battle for second among other power BCS conferences continues to be a good one, and the conference that landed there could surprise some people.
A quick note about these rankings: In our initial conference rankings, we looked at past results in addition to how teams were faring with their 2014 classes, because many teams had low numbers of commits. But now that the classes are continuing to grow in numbers, we're able to focus more on how teams are doing with their 2014 classes and rank the conferences accordingly.
