Ranking SEC recruiting classes

Here's a look at how the SEC recruiting classes are shaping up. Our scouts provided the rankings based on not only the talent of each class but also the needs filled. We also offer a breakdown of the players each class has and whom the programs are still targeting, but remember, it's still way early, and plenty can -- and will -- change between now and national signing day.

1. Florida Gators

Commits: 18 | ESPN 150: 8 | ESPN 300: 13 | Class rankings: No. 3
Who they have: With the No. 3 class ranking in the country, Florida coach Will Muschamp has built a deep and talented recruiting class.

The class is led by Vernon Hargreaves III (Tampa, Fla./Wharton), the No. 1 cornerback prospect in the country. Hargreaves, an Under Armour All-American, chose the Gators in July over USC, Stanford, Oregon, Clemson and Vanderbilt. Hargreaves is the son of USF defensive ends coach Vernon Hargreaves Jr.
