Three-star WR chooses Oklahoma State over Ohio State and Texas A&M

BEAVERTON, Ore. -- The first step in Ra'Shaad Samples' recovery was all mental. Convincing himself that he could return from an injury he had already suffered once before was the hardest part.

Once the electric, three-star wide receiver from Dallas Skyline did that, everything else was downhill -- including choosing a college program out of 33 offers.

On Saturday, Samples announced his decision to commit to Oklahoma State during the ESPNU telecast at The Opening. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound playmaker became the Cowboys' 13th commitment of the 2013 recruiting class and joined a talented receiver corps that includes ESPN 300 four-stars Fred Ross (Tyler, Texas/John Tyler) and Marcell Ateman (Wylie, Texas/Wylie East).
