TIGARD, Oregon -- Madison County (Fla.) offensive lineman Ira Denson went from relative unknown to ESPN 150 prospect after a dominating performance at the Orlando NFC. In the weeks that followed, the 6-foot-4, 316-pound senior accepted an invitation to the 2013 Under Armour All-America Game and committed to Florida State.
Denson's ascension started during the one-on-one battles at the NFTC. Time and time again, Denson took on defensive linemen and put them on their backsides.
ESPN 150 defensive lineman Caleb Brantley (Crescent City, Fla./Crescent City) remembers that day well. He also remembers how the ground felt each time he ended up there courtesy of Denson.
The Opening will give UF commit Caleb Brantley and FSU commit Ira Denson a chance to do battle once again -- in what could be a battle that lasts years.
