Here's a team-by-team breakdown of the ACC's 2012 recruiting classes. Mario Edwards (Denton, Texas/Billy Ryan), the nation's top overall player, has the physical ability to contribute right away in Tallahassee. Breakdown: Florida State closed well down the stretch and was able to hold on to its top-three ranking on the final day. The class is not big but more than half the players reside in the ESPNU 150. The Seminoles signed talented defensive linemen, led by Edwards, DE Chris Casher (Mobile, Ala./Davidson) and stout interior tackle Eddie Goldman (Washington, D.C./Collegiate Academy). RB Mario Pender (Cape Coral, Fla./Island Coast) and speedster WR Marvin Bracy (Orlando, Fla./Boone) are great future weapons on offense. They also filled a need at quarterback with the impending signing of No. 1 signal-caller Jameis Winston (Hueytown, Ala./Hueytown), but the promising baseball prospect might never suit up for the Seminoles.
