Determining who is the best junior prospect in California isn't going to be easy.

In previous seasons, players like Arik Armstead (Elk Grove, Calif./Pleasant Grove), George Farmer (Gardena, Calif./Serra), DeAnthony Thomas (Los Angeles, Calif./Crenshaw), Robert Woods (Gardena, Calif./Serra) and Ronald Powell (Moreno Valley, Calif./Rancho Verde) had all established themselves as blue-chip talents by the time they were sophomores. However, there doesn't yet appear to be one ultra-talented, five-star lock to emerge from the 2013 class.
