With true freshmen impacting college football like never before, here are six recruits -- three who are uncommitted and three who have already changed their minds -- whose decisions could impact next year's race to the national championship.

Undecided players

Leonard Fournette (New Orleans/Saint Augustine)
ESPN 300 rank: 1
No recruit in this year's class will have a bigger impact on next season's national championship race than Fournette, the nation's No. 1 prospect. Both LSU and Alabama are set for the future with talent all over the field, but adding a home-run threat at running back could instantly catapult the Tigers to the top -- or help keep the Tide there. Fournette is the type of game-changing player who only comes along every few recruiting cycles. The last time a running back had the potential to make this big of an instant impact was Adrian Peterson, and he finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting as a true freshman and led the Sooners to the 2005 BCS Championship Game.
