Unsigned recruit: Aaron Gordon
Breaking down the recruitment of high school's version of Blake Griffin
RecruitingNation: Aaron Gordon Analysis
Editor's note: This is the fourth in a series breaking down the recruitments of the nation's top uncommitted seniors. Our first installment looked at No. 2 prospect Jabari Parker (who since committed to Duke), the second breakdown was on No. 1 recruit Andrew Wiggins and the third roundtable was on No. 4 Julius Randle.
There are plenty of things we could say to explain why Aaron Gordon (San Jose, Calif./Archbishop Mitty) is one of the most coveted uncommitted recruits in the country, with Washington, Arizona and Kentucky battling it out for him. The No. 1 player in the West, the No. 2 power forward and the No. 7 overall prospect in the ESPN 100 is athletic, has a nonstop motor and is versatile enough that he could develop into a combo forward. He's also the younger brother of former New Mexico star Drew Gordon.
But perhaps nothing makes the point stronger than this: Gordon has earned comparisons with Blake Griffin.
So while Gordon's skills will be on display Monday at noon ET on ESPNU, here's how our RecruitingNation basketball experts see his recruitment playing out, complete with what makes him special, improvement for the next level, freshman projections in college, decision factors and predictions on what school he'll choose.
