The marriage of Calipari and Kentucky has led to historic recruiting success

As of April 3, 2012 -- the day after Kentucky beat Kansas to win the national title last spring -- John Calipari owned the perfect recruiting pitch.

Calipari is a menacing presence on the recruiting trail. Armed with three of the last four No. 1 classes and counting -- No. 1 in 2009, 2010 and 2011, No. 2 in 2012 and the top class so far in 2013 -- the Wildcats truly are in unchartered waters from a recruiting perspective.
