First-year coaches winning on the trail

A new head coach can create energy and recruiting momentum for a program by selling their excitement, passion and vision to potential recruits and their families. Other selling points new coaches can use include proximity to campus, strong coaching staff, competitive facilities, academic excellence and tradition. How a new coach represents his program is crucial and if the recruit, his parents and his circle of people can understand and relate to the new coach's vision, then there will be a connection. Here is a look at some programs with new coaches that have already won on the recruiting trail before barely playing a game and how it was done.
