Grant is playmaking corner with great quickness, athleticism and awareness skills. Lacks ideal size and appears quicker than fast at times but he consistently puts himself in the correct position to make plays on the football. Expertly reads the quarterback in zone schemes and anticipates the pass as good as any in this class. Like to see him play with more hip sink but he transitions quickly and excels at jumping routes, closing the cushion and breaking up the underneath perimeter pass. Shows good hip fluidity and redirection skill. Needs to polish up his pedal and footwork a bit as he can get beat off the line in man schemes but his great makeup and play-speed allows him to recover. Lacks ideal height on the contested jump-ball matchup but he masks it well with great leaping skills and timing of his jump. Very comfortable around the football when its in the air; tracks it accurately, adjusts his body well and displays his talented receiver skills going up to high-point. For a slighter corner he will come down hard on perimeter run support and effectively set the edge. Shows more than adequate tackling and overall run support skills. Will need to continue adding size to press and play the run in college. Overall, Grant is talented athlete who excels at receiver, corner and as a return specialist. Has been able to take chances and rely on a lot of natural ability at the high school level but feel once he concentrates on the nuances of the corner position fulltime at the next level he could develop into a very good corner. ... for full access to RecruitingNation become an Insider
