Wilson has a great frame and physical upside when projecting for the next level but will need a lot of early development at the next level. Tall, with a long, rangy frame that should explode with bulk once he attacks a college weight training program. Shows good range and covers a ton of ground with his long stride. Needs to take sharper, more direct pursuit angles but chases well sideline-to-sideline. This kid can run and flashes clips on film where he will close with good burst and make solid tackles. Needs to play with better bend but shows athleticism in space mirroring ball carriers and has adequate fluidity through his hips. However, he does struggle at times to change direction sharply. Tends to overrun plays and has difficulty recovering. Needs to work on shedding and building up his upper-body. Often gets sealed on the edge, caught up in traffic and struggles generating good short-area power from his hips and lower-body at the point of attack. Athletic in coverage but needs to work on technique and diagnosing skills. Overall, we like what Wilson brings to the table as a linebacker prospect in terms of upside. Needs a lot of polish, added size and improved intensity but has a high ceiling for development.
