Tall, long and rangy defensive back who will most likely start his career off at corner. A potential perimeter defender with the height and length to match-up with today's bigger college receivers. Has wiry strength but will need to continue filling out. Shows good closing speed and overall range. Straight-line in speed.
Possesses good football savvy on both sides of the ball. At corner we see good anticipation and awareness skills. Reads the QB well and is quick to jump routes.
Excels in zone schemes planting and driving on the pass in front of him. Adept at reading the QB and playing ball to man. Transitions cleaning coming out of pedal with good breaking burst. Closes separation with his quickness and length. Can flip hips fluidly for a taller corner and turn in run when receiver breaks cushion. Plays the ball well from a trail alignment and shows good ball skills. Does not project high in off-man schemes where he would be required to mirror and change-direction suddenly. Length to develop into a press-man corner.
Area that is in need of improvement. Will step up and is willing to set the edge but lacks strong take-on skills, will get tied up in the stalk and will lose outside leverage on the ball. Flashes the ability to run through with some raw pop on contact but also lunges at times. Better tackler closing in pass support than filling verse the run.
Webster is a high-upside athlete who could also get recruited to play receiver where he possesses good hands, a large catch radius as well as natural separation skills. We like his length, range and ball skills at DB and could physically develop into a good zone corner at the college level.
