Flowe has the measurables and frame to play the strong safety position at the college level. He could see recruitment as an outside linebacker/hybrid as well, particularly if he adds more size. Has adequate height with good size and bulk. Has room to add muscle. Improved functional strength will benefit production as a solid wrap up tackler. Has good speed for a guy his size, more straight-lined. May be better suited at linebacker from a coverage standpoint; showed late reactions in man-to-man coverage, wasted motion transitioning having to recover from a trail position. As a strong safety prospect, may struggle in man-to-man coverage lined up on a TE and slot. In zone coverage at OLB, gets good depth and shows some lateral quickness dropping to perimeter and flat. Shows he can close quickly and undercut intermediate route when deployed as a high-point safety. Is a disruptive blitzer off the edge, good burst, dipping shoulder to shorten the corner against OT. In run support, can take on OL with good leverage, spinning and retaining balance to wrap up ball carrier. Overall, Flowe has the tools to develop in the defensive backfield or in the first level as a hybrid. With more coverage responsibilities in his senior season he could see heightened recruitment at the safety position. Projects to the mid-major level but could slip through the cracks to a BCS level program.
