INSIDE THE TEXAS LONGHORNS' CLASS
Who they have: The Longhorns have been on a roll lately with four commitments in a three-day span from June 13 to June 15. That included two wide receivers in Dorian Leonard and former TCU pledge Emanuel Porter. Texas also picked up a commitment from Trinity Valley CC tight end John Thomas, who was once committed to LSU in high school. Overall, Texas has 19 commitments, which is four more than all of 2013. The class is highlighted by ESPN 300 members Derick Roberson (No. 79) and Jerrod Heard (No. 138).
Who they want: More than 20 uncommitted ESPN 300 recruits hold offers from Texas, which is in good, but not great shape with DE Solomon Thomas and S Jamal Adams and has been going hard after CB Tony Brown and WR K.D. Cannon. The secondary is a question, but CBs Arrion Springs and Nick Watkins are both high on Texas. The Longhorns have also been making a push for S Edwin Freeman and WR Armanti Foreman and are still in the mix as a dark horse for the No. 1 overall prospect, RB Leonard Fournette.
