Wilson scales Heisman Predictor
Big night vs. Nebraska makes Wisconsin QB the favorite; Tajh Boyd joins race
Michigan Wolverines quarterback Denard Robinson still leads the Heisman Predictor race, but a new favorite might have emerged Saturday night.
Russell Wilson helped the Wisconsin Badgers dismantle the Nebraska Cornhuskers and, in doing so, jumped ahead of Andrew Luck and into second place in the Predictor standings.
Although he still trails Robinson by 4.5 points, Wilson's toughest game of the season is now out of the way, and only one ranked opponent remains on the schedule (No. 19 Illinois Fighting Illini). Robinson, on the other hand, has yet to face a ranked opponent and still has two remaining on the schedule (No. 19 Illinois and No. 14 Nebraska).
It will be difficult for Wilson to win the award without the Badgers going undefeated, but, among the teams of the remaining contenders, Wisconsin's schedule might be the most favorable.
