Who will win the Heisman?
Ohio State's Miller among eight QBs in Week 1 Predictor top 10
The 2013 Heisman race is underway, and it's already shaping up to be a battle of the quarterbacks. In the Predictor's initial top 10, quarterbacks are Nos. 1 through 8.
The early rankings also heavily favor the top teams in the nation, with each of the top five candidates playing for teams in the top 10 of the AP poll.
While the early-season rankings are a fluid situation, they provide us with a blueprint for where each of the top candidates stand and what they need to accomplish as the season wears on to solidify their Heisman campaign.
Braxton Miller of the Ohio State Buckeyes currently holds an edge in the race, primarily due to the 10-point bonus he receives for finishing fifth in the 2012 race. As long as Miller stays healthy and the Buckeyes keep winning, the Heisman is his to lose.
