Three-way Heisman race heads to wire with Notre Dame LB still in mix

At eight o'clock Eastern time on Saturday night we had a runaway Heisman favorite. Collin Klein and the Kansas State Wildcats were just two games away from a trip to the national title game and likely one of the most lopsided Heisman votes in history. Approximately three hours later, everything we thought we knew about the Heisman race was out the window.

Instead of another anticlimactic Heisman ceremony, we could be headed toward one of the most hotly contested races in recent memory. And history could potentially be made by the first freshman hoisting the trophy -- or even the first full-time defender.

As we enter the final two weeks of the college football season the Heisman race has been narrowed to three legitimate candidates, with a few others on the outskirts of the conversation. Here's where we stand as we enter the home stretch.
