Both Alabama and Notre Dame nearly fell out of the BCS title race this week, but both came up with close wins to keep this a very complicated national championship picture.

In this week's look at my BCS bowl projections and the next teams up for each bid, we're going to break down what needs to happen for each of the five most likely national championship contenders -- the four undefeated teams and Georgia -- to make the title game.

Current prediction: Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Oregon Ducks

Next up for BCS No. 1 and No. 2 spots: Kansas State, Notre Dame, Georgia

Alabama: The Crimson Tide's path to the title game is simple: They just need to keep winning. There's no way an undefeated Bama team gets shut out.
