Is Georgia a title contender?
Todd McShay and Mel Kiper break down UGA, top prospects and new names

Each week during the college football season, Mel Kiper and Todd McShay kick off the week by settling a debate, then will look at emerging NFL prospects and look ahead to next week.
The discussion: Is Georgia capable of winning a BCS championship?
Todd McShay: There's no question in my mind that from an individual talent standpoint, the Bulldogs have enough to win a national championship. The fact that they have an easier schedule -- certainly by SEC standards -- helps, but I can't remember any team that won a BCS title because of its great schedule. You have to play at a high-enough level to win (in the Bulldogs' case, going undefeated in the regular season won't mean much if they can't beat the West champ in the SEC championship game), and UGA has the talent to do so. The question I have is whether they have the leadership and consistency to push things over the top.
When I watched Georgia's game against Missouri the first time through, I was underwhelmed, but I saw a lot more positives after rewatching it on coach-copy tape. The defense, which is loaded, played with much greater consistency than it did the previous week against Buffalo, and that was without four starters (three of whom are NFL-caliber talents). The guy who is the ultimate leader by example on this unit is Jarvis Jones. Yes, he's talented, fast and explosive, but his effort and intensity are what really stand out. He plays sideline-to-sideline and is the most ferocious pass-rusher in college football.
