George Morris off to a strong start
September, 15, 2011
Lawrenceville (Ga.) Central Gwinnett running back George Morris is having an impressive start to his senior season. The 6-foot-1 and 195 pound prospect is averaging a first down every time he touches the ball and has 10 scores on the season. He has rushed for 367 yards on 36 carries and caught eight passes for 80 yards. "George is carrying the wood right now," Central Gwinnett coach Todd Wofford said. "Find another running back better than him on doing what he does and we are playing 5A. He can catch, block and run. He's killing it and making plays that are not there. His vision is better and feet are quicker. He's really surprising some people." Morris currently favors Illinois, Syracuse, East Carolina, Florida International and Arkansas. All have offered but the Razorbacks.
