When running back Montrell Dobbs graduated last spring, it looked like there would be a huge void in the Ansonia (Conn.) High School backfield, but it didn't take long to find a capable replacement. Dobbs, who rushed for 3,445 yards and 45 touchdowns during his senior season, is spending a year at Milford Academy in New Berlin, N.Y., before he joins the University of Connecticut program. Sophomore Arkeel Newsome is doing his best to make Ansonia fans forget about Dobbs, however. Through two games, Newsome has rushed for 528 yards and 10 touchdown on 50 carries. He ran for 196 yards and four TDs in Friday night's 36-6 victory over Woodland.
