Athlete Cody Ippolito (Scottsdale, Ariz./Chaparral) took an unofficial visit to Utah over the weekend and upon being offered a scholarship, committed on the spot.
Ippolito plays both fullback and linebacker for the Firebirds and visited the Utes, along with his teammate Davonte Neal, on Saturday.
"I had a great visit and decided to commit right when they offered," Ippolito said Sunday. "I'm so excited and just grateful for this opportunity. Honestly, I don't think this would have happened without the exposure I got from being on TV Friday. Our game was televised on ESPN and they told me they watched the game and decided to offer me because of how I played.
