We knew in August that this season would not be as volatile when it came to the coaching hot seat. After all, there are 31 new Football Bowl Subdivision head coaches in 2013, including 16 at AQ schools.
Even the drama at one of the two highly visible danger zones was squelched -- in September, no less -- when Lane Kiffin was fired at USC. At the other, Texas’ Mack Brown has tamped down speculation about his future (for now).
Still, there are a number of BCS schools to monitor as the coaching carousel, already in motion, begins to pick up speed. Here’s a temperature gauge on eight coaches most in danger of losing their jobs.
