While the Pac-12 North race could be settled on the field Thursday night, recruits of Oregon and Stanford took a quick look ahead and revealed how they believe the game will go. Not surprisingly, predictions were split between party lines, though there were several who chose to abstain.
While this rivalry isn't likely to catch the Civil War or Big Game in terms of priorities for Stanford and Oregon players and fan bases, recruits of both programs are definitely eyeing the other and there will be bragging rights on the line.
2015 CB Frank Buncom IV (San Diego/St. Augustine) - Uncommitted
"I believe it will be a fantastic game between two wonderful programs. It will be full of great plays and coaching."
LS Tanner Carew (Chino Hills, Calif./Damien) - Oregon commit
"32-14. This year’s O-line and D-line for Oregon is healthy and they have had an extra week to prepare off the bye week. Go Ducks."
OT Tyrell Crosby (Henderson, Nev./Green Valley) - Oregon commit
"I'm thinking it'll be a close scoring game, 28-17, and I think special teams will help win this game."
RB Royce Freeman: (Imperial, Calif./Imperial) - Oregon commit
"I have no score prediction, but i feel if Oregon attacks offensively like they will and puts up points like they are capable of, Oregon will make it easier on themselves."
CB Alijah Holder (Oceanside, Calif./Oceanside) - Stanford commit
"I think Stanford's O and D-line will be a big factor to their success. 38 to 35 Stanford."
RB Tony James (Gainesville, Fla./Gainesville) - Oregon commit
"I think it's going to be a great game on Oregon's part because of their high tempo and ability to run and pass the ball, and we also have a great defense. I haven't really watched Stanford play, but I think it's going to be 42-21."
DT Jalen Jelks (Phoenix/Desert Vista) - Oregon commit
"I think it's going to be about a 35-14 game. I believe Oregon has all the right game plans and right players for teams like Stanford and I think it's going to be a great matchup -- just hope the big O comes out on top."
DE Uriah Leiataua (Compton, Calif./Dominguez) - Uncommitted
"Oh it's going to be a great game, no doubt. Oregon's offense is really explosive, but Stanford's defense is really stiff. I'm guessing Stanford over Oregon, 21-14."
QB Morgan Mahalak (Kentfield, Calif./Marin Catholic) - Oregon commit
"I couldn't give you a prediction. All I know is that they [Oregon] have had a great week of practice and are ready to go. If they play within themselves, they'll be successful."
ATH Bobby Okereke (Tustin, Calif./Foothill) - Stanford commit
"It's going to be a tough game because the Ducks are on a vendetta from last year, but Stanford seems to play to the level of their opponents and play well in big games. It'll be a big defensive game for Stanford with a 20-14 win over Oregon. Not the exact score but I think Stanford wins by a touchdown or a couple field goals."
LB Jordan Perez (Carlsbad, Calif./Carlsbad) - Stanford commit
"20-17 Stanford. Playing at the farm is going to be difficult for Oregon. If Stanford rattles Mariota early, they will win the game."
CB Arrion Springs (San Antonio/Roosevelt) - Oregon commit
"35-14. Tied at the end of the first, then all Oregon from there. Oregon is hungry for it."
