Marshall, top RB in West, picks Oregon

San Jose (Calif.) Valley Christian Byron Marshall, the top RB in the West region and No. 129 in the ESPNU 150, put an end to the recruiting process when he committed to Oregon on Tuesday night.

He chose the Ducks over Cal, Arizona State, Washington, USC and Notre Dame.

“I’m very excited and relieved this is over,” said Marshall, a four-star prospect who is the nation's No. 9 running back. “I've been thinking Oregon was the place for me for a few weeks now. I just feel like Oregon is a great fit for me in a lot of ways. I love the offense and the success they have had running the football. I think I fit in well with that offense, I’m a power guy that can also get outside and Oregon does a great job getting their players in space.
