January, 3, 2012
SAN ANTONIO -- Four-star wide receiver Jordan Payton (Westlake Village, Calif./Oaks Christian) confirmed Tuesday morning that he is down to four schools and will make a decision during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Payton said he will choose between Michigan, Notre Dame, California and UCLA. The game will take place Saturday and be televised live on NBC.

“All those schools have pretty good tradition, and they are great academically. That’s a big thing for me,” said Payton, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound receiver. “I like all the coaches from all those schools, so we’ll just see how it goes.”

Payton has 15 offers from various schools, including Oklahoma, Michigan, Tennessee, Florida and Arkansas. He has taken official visits to Michigan, Notre Dame and Cal and has a visit scheduled to UCLA the weekend of Jan. 13.
