Defensemen Carlo Colaiacovo and Ian White are in position to watch yet another playoff game from the press box. Judging from Wednesday's skate, MLive.com's Ansar Khan reports Detroit Red Wings coach Mike Babcock will likely stick with the same corps of six blueliners from Game 4 (3-2 OT win over the Anaheim Ducks).

While Carlo Colaiacovo is set to return to the lineup for the Detroit Red Wings Monday, fellow defenseman Danny DeKeyser could make his NHL debut before the work week is through. According to Ansar Khan of MLive.com, coach Mike Babcock's reaction to the news that Kyle Quincey (fractured cheek bone) expects to play Thursday indicated a willingness to give DeKeyser a shot -- soon.

UPDATE: Seriously, defensemen are dropping like flies in Detroit. According to Ansar Khan of MLive.com, Ian White will miss the next two to three weeks following surgery on his lacerated thigh. White went under the knife Wednesday morning.
