Morrow's future with Stars
By Victoria Matiash
Whether his future involves being moved before the trade deadline or not, Brenden Morrow seems destined to part ways with the Dallas Stars. Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News suggests the captain's relationship with the Stars is nearing an end.
"... Barring a really strong comeback from Morrow that includes an impressive playoff run, I would not see him being re-signed. I think the team is ready to move on, just as it did from Modano and Turco. I appreciate everything he has done, and everything he is doing right now, but it seems they have to open up space in the top six for young forwards with speed and skill, so I think this will be Brenden's last year with the Stars ..."
Poised to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, Morrow has spent his entire NHL career -- 13 seasons -- in Dallas since being drafted by the Stars in 1997. Look for Morrow to be moved before the trade deadline if the club isn't in playoff contention.
