Bogosian ETA
By Victoria Matiash
The Winnipeg Jets could have Zach Bogosian (wrist surgery) back in the foreseeable future. According to Ed Tait of the Winnipeg Free Press, Bogosian's return to the Jets' lineup can be "measured in days". Super-pumped to get back at it, the 22-year-old defenseman practiced with his teammates for the first time on Thursday.
"It felt good to be out there with the guys. The last team practice I had was last April," said Bogosian. "It’s feeling good. Obviously with the recovery there are going to be ups and downs, but it’s been feeling good lately and the last few weeks have been positive weeks for me mentally ... I haven’t had any setbacks for awhile."
It's been a long recovery -- Bogosian went under the knife in August. Barring any setbacks, a return next week appears most likely.
Meanwhile, the return of Dustin Byfuglien (undisclosed injury) still appears up in the air. Defenseman Zach Redmond would be the top candidate to fall out of the lineup once Byfuglien or Bogosian is ready to go. If/when everyone's healthy on the Jets' blue line, Grant Clitsome would likely follow suit.
