Jackets' blue line is healing
By Victoria Matiash
The Columbus Blue Jackets anticipate having three (up from two) regular defensemen in the lineup for Thursday's tilt with the Calgary Flames. The Columbus Dispatch implies Nikita Nikitin is expected back after dealing with an upper-body injury.
While Nikitin is pegged to slide in next to his usual partner, Fedor Tyutin, 21-year-old Tim Erixon should get another chance to skate with Jack Johnson. Rookie Cody Goloubef appears to be the odd-man out, with David Savard and Nick Holden pencilled in as the third pairing.
Return dates for James Wisniewski, Adrian Aucoin and John Moore remain up in the air. But all three are considered day-to-day.
