Fresh interest in Arnott
By Victoria Matiash
Unrestricted free agent Jason Arnott may be on the verge of inking his second deal of this short season.
Sportsnet's Mark Spector reports Arnott is apparently in good shape, and ready to sign (permanently, this time) with an NHL squad.
"... Agent Wade Arnott says brother Jason 'cleared to play' after knee scope, and has 'a few things ongoing with NHL clubs' ..."
After agreeing to a one-year, $1.6-million contract over a week ago, the New York Rangers scuttled their deal with the 38-year-old veteran because of medical concerns. The Edmonton Oilers are just one of several teams said to be interested in adding an experienced centerman.
