Lehtonen's workload

By Victoria Matiash

The No. 1 netminder for the Dallas Stars can look forward to a very busy February.

As reported by Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News, head coach Glen Gulutzan says he expects Kari Lehtonen to get the majority of starts this month.

"You look at the way February unfolds after tonight, and I see Kari Lehtonen playing almost every game," Gulutzan said. "He claimed himself (Saturday) — and I could hear it in his voice and see it in his eyes — that he is not feeling well. It’s that time of year and [we] want to make sure he is ready because February is going to be a Kari Lehtonen month."

The Stars have two sets of back-to-back games, and 12 contests in total, in the next 26 days. If all goes to plan, backup Richard Bachman won't be a very busy guy.
