Weiss could return Sunday
By Victoria Matiash
For the first time this season, the Florida Panthers are in position to unleash their top line on Sunday (versus the Buffalo Sabres).
George Richards of the Miami Herald reports center Stephen Weiss could return after missing three games with a groin injury.
"That gives you options," Panthers coach Kevin Dineen said, in regards to re-uniting Weiss with Tomas Fleischmann and Kris Versteeg. "It's not just the players you're missing, but the players we have are playing out of position to try and fit the square peg into the round hole. This gives us more continuity."
If Weiss is indeed good to go, Marcel Goc should drop to the third line.
In less agreeable news for the Panthers, Scottie Upshall is expected to miss about a month with a sprained ankle.
