Tardif's NHL debut

By Victoria Matiash

Forward Jamie Tardif appears ready to enjoy his first taste of NHL action. Recalled in light of injuries to Daniel Paille (upper-body) and Shawn Thornton (concussion), Tardif is expected to suit up for the Boston Bruins on Saturday versus the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe suggests the 28-year-old AHL journeyman could skate on the fourth line with Lane MacDermid and center Gregory Campbell.

Tardif has 30 points in 39 games for the Providence Bruins this season.
