Luongo staying put?
By Doug McIntyre
We already know that Roberto Luongo will make his third straight start for the Vancouver Canucks Friday against the Chicago Blackhawks -- coach Alain Vigneault confirmed the news Thursday afternoon. Question is, are Vigneault and the Canucks' brass having second thoughts about trading the high-profile goaltender now that he's apparently won back he staring job from Cory Schneider?
After Luongo backstopped the club to a 3-0 shutout win over the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday (for which he received a standing ovation from the home crowd), the Vancouver Sun's Iain MacIntyre suggested that the veteran netminder could stick around.
"Never know which game could be last in VAN," MacIntyre wrote on his Twitter page following the game. "Maybe not for a while."
