Latest re: Subban ETA
By Doug McIntyre
UPDATE: He's ready enough, it seems.
The Montreal Canadiens confirm P.K. Subban will make his season debut against the Buffalo Sabres Saturday afternoon.

The Montreal Canadiens want P.K. Subban back in their lineup as soon as possible, but Saturday's home tilt against the Buffalo Sabres may just be a tad too soon for the electrifying young defenseman, who re-signed with the Habs on Monday after a brief holdout.
At issue is the fact that Subban will have just one full practice with his teammates, on Friday, and he needs to convince Michel Therrien that he's completely up to speed on the coach's system, according to Pat Hickey of the Montreal Gazette.
If he proves he's ready -- and we should know either way early Friday afternoon -- expect Subban to be deployed on the Canadiens' struggling penalty kill. He could also replace Tomas Kaberle on the team's second power play unit.
