White ETA (update)
By Victoria Matiash
UPDATE: Confirmed. According to Ansar Khan of MLive.com, Ian White will make his return Tuesday.
It's also worth noting that defenseman Brian Lashoff will suit up instead of Jakub Kindl against the Calgary Flames.

UPDATE: MLive.com reports Ian White could return to the Detroit Red Wings' lineup as early as Tuesday. That's the defenseman's hope, in any case.
"I was actually hoping to play today because I was skating for a few days now, felt fine," White said Friday. "But then the doctor explained if you fall and that leg jack-knifes it'll blow everything up in there ... I'm aiming for Tuesday (vs. Calgary at Joe Louis Arena), we'll see. It gets a little bit better every day and hopefully I'll be back then."

Defenseman Ian White could be back in action for the Detroit Red Wings before Valentine's Day.
MLive.com reports the lacerated thigh injury could be a lot worse. And since no tendons were severed, White believes a return in two weeks is possible.
"You have a tendon going right over your knee cap; it (teammate Jimmy Howard's skate blade) just missed it," White said. "I guess if it would have cut that it might have been the season. Lucky."
With Jonathan Ericsson due back soon, the Red Wings' blue line should be back to decent shape shortly.
