UPDATE: Rich Chere of the The Star-Ledger reports "all signs" point to Adam Henrique playing Thursday against the Islanders. And it appears as though Stefan Matteau is pegged to be a healthy scratch.

UPDATE: According to Fire & Ice, Adam Henrique could join the New Jersey Devils' lineup as early as Thursday.
"Adam Henrique is day to day and it just gives us some flexibility," Devils GM Lou Lamoriello said, after placing Cam Janssen on waivers.

The New Jersey Devils could have Adam Henrique back in the lineup on the other side of the weekend.
Rich Chere of the Star-Ledger suggests the "target date" for Henrique's return to the Devils' lineup could be Jan. 31 (vs. the New York Islanders).
"... Henrique, who underwent surgery on Nov. 29 to re-attach the ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb after an injury suffered while playing for Albany (AHL) during the lockout, took part in the Devils' morning skate (Friday). It was the Calder Trophy finalist's first practice with a full team and only the second day in which he was able to shoot and handle a puck on the ice ..."
