Nashville all set up front?
By Luke Lapinski
The Nashville Predators have plenty of forward depth locked in for the 2013-14 campaign. In fact, they might even be a little crowded up front.
Nick Spaling signed a one-year deal over the weekend, essentially giving Nashville 15 forwards on the roster. That could mean limited playing time for guys like Taylor Beck, Richard Clune and even Spaling. And it could mean we may not see much of Filip Forsberg for awhile, unless he really takes off at training camp.
As Josh Cooper of the Tennessean points out, this could prove to be a nice luxury for the Preds. With all these players available, the club has some decent insurance in case of injury. And they won't have to rush the development of a prospect like Forsberg.
