Forward Danny Briere (wrist hairline fracture) may miss another handful of games for the Philadelphia Flyers.
As reported by CSNPhilly.com, Briere could make his season debut on the weekend after undergoing a follow-up X-ray Thursday. But it's possible the Flyers veteran may not be ready to return until next week.
“I really don't know how much more time I will need," Briere said Tuesday. "We are moving in the right direction. I can't wait to get into some contract drills and get into game situations ... It's tough to tell. It's a day-to-day thing. We’re not too far away. Maybe the weekend or maybe after the weekend."
Flyers GM Paul Holmgren said he didn’t think it was "out of the question" that Briere play either Saturday (vs Florida Panthers) or Sunday (vs Tampa Bay Lightning).
