Niederreiter trade chatter

It appears Nino Niederreiter wants a fresh start.
ESPNNY.com's Katie Strang reports the young Swiss forward is allegedly unhappy with his current situation with the New York Islanders, and is asking for a trade.
While Niederreiter's agent is said to have made the request last week, Islanders GM Garth Snow isn't thought to be keen on moving the former first-round pick at the moment.
Despite a strong showing with the AHL Bridgeport Sound Tigers this season, the 20-year-old winger wasn't even invited to Islanders' training camp.

"... There has been growing concern about Niederreiter's development since last season. Although the young prospect appeared in 55 games for the Islanders, he was used in a limited role. He managed only one goal, causing many to feel he'd be better off playing in Bridgeport and to speculate that the team could be keeping him around for cap purposes (i.e. his entry-level contract bonuses helped the team hover slightly above the cap floor) ..."
