Confusion re: Bertuzzi's health
By Victoria Matiash
UPDATE: Actually, it seems we are talking days, after all.
MLive.com reports forward Todd Bertuzzi is expected to return to the lineup Friday, when the Detroit Red Wings host the Minnesota Wild. According to Red Wings GM Ken Holland, tests for mononucleosis returned as negative.
"It was a false alarm; he just had the flu over the weekend,'' Holland said. "He’ll go to the rink Tuesday morning, he’ll skate. We’re thinking he’s going to play Friday."
Bertuzzi could replace Jordin Tootoo or Patrick Eaves at right wing.

Detroit Red Wings won't have Todd Bertuzzi at their disposal for a good while.
Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports Bertuzzi has mononucleosis and will be out for a "chunk of time".
We're talking weeks, not days.
Jan Mursak is expected to fill the void until winger Patrick Eaves (concussion) is ready to compete.
Center Darren Helm (back) is also expected to miss a handful of games to start the season.
