If the Nashville Predators are to enjoy any success late this regular season, it will be without forwards Colin Wilson and Paul Gaustad. Josh Cooper of the Tennessean reports both will require four months of recovery after undergoing respective shoulder surgeries.
On the upside, Wilson and Gaustad are expected to be good-to-go for 2013-14. With only seven games remaining, the Predators sit 13th in the West, five points back of the seventh-place Detroit Red Wings. Barring a miracle, the club won't secure a playoff berth this season.
