Flames No. 2 won't be too busy

So why did the Calgary Flames opt for Leland Irving over Henrik Karlsson to back up No. 1 Miikka Kiprusoff?
"He was better," coach Bob Hartley explained, referring to the 24-year-old Alberta native.
Fair enough.
Yet Irving may not see a whole lot of action this shortened NHL season. Unless he falls injured or struggles wildly, Kiprusoff is expected to start the lion's share of games for the Flames this winter/spring.
