Another suitor for Coyotes?
By Doug McIntyre
Who says the Phoenix Coyotes can't attract a buyer?
According to a report posted on the Globe and Mail's website Friday, a potential taker for the moribund NHL-owned club has emerged -- for the second time in as many days.
On Thursday, word hit that a Calgary-based investment banker had teamed up with Ice Edge Holdings, a group had previously tried to buy the franchise, and that they were on the verge of submitting a new bid.
Now, another potential owner has apparently stepped forward in the form of Darin Pastor, the head of a California wealth management firm who has vowed to keep the club in Arizona should he acquire it. The Coyotes have been operated by the league since going bankrupt in 2009.
